Full Description

We meet up in your hotel and head to Sebastia, a tremendous treat for lovers of the old! As old as 10,000 years, the city had been the site of successive conquerors, starting with the Canaanites, Israelites, Assyrians, Hellenes, Romans, Byzantines, and ending with the early Islamic conquests of the 7th century. We walk through the archeological site and then hike in one of the highest peaks in the West Bank, Mount Gerizim.  It is considered a sacred mountain to the Samaritans. Thousands of people join annually to celebrate the Samaritans’ ceremonial procession, a tradition that has survived for thousands of years. And if you come at the right time, you’ll be able to witness it. After a local lunch, the tour will end with ‘Kunafeh’, the Palestinian sweet Nablus is renowned for.
