Palestinian Folk music is spontaneous and expresses the customs and beliefs of the people as it addresses present situations and attitudes. Folkloric songs and music are often accompanied by the infamous Dabke, the traditional Palestinian dance, which is widely performed at weddings and other festive occasions. Palestinian people are charming, inviting and share a great love for life. Palestine is a country rooted in history, family and tradition. Hospitality is part of Palestinian culture and this makes it a friendly place to visit and explore. During most of the year the climate remains relatively moderate and fresh. Winters usually last 3 months and are at times uncommonly bitter.  However, spring and autumn have mostly mild weather that makes sightseeing possible and above all-enjoyable. Summers tend to be dry and sometime hot. But at night, it’s another story: the cool Mediterranean night breeze ushers in a soothing relief that makes nightlife even more pleasant and exciting. Overall, Palestine’s mild weather is ideal and enjoyable by locals and foreign visitors alike.

Palestine is renowned for its variety of handicrafts work. Pottery is well established art. Thus you find beautiful ceramics decorated with intricate geometric patterns and some have lively-painted depictions of traditional life. As a tradition that is thousands of years old, Palestinian artisans have also made of the Biblical olive wood and mother-of-pearl an art renowned through the world. In clothing, Palestine is rich with artistically cross-stitched embroidery used on traditional dresses, jackets, cushions and tablecloths. Skilled artisans and blacksmiths have also mastered the art of copper and brass cutlery and ancient utensils, many exquisitely chiseled with biblical scenes or depictions of traditional life.
